TERMS & CONDITIONS
These booking terms & conditions become part of the contract between you (“guest”) and Lucky’s Surf Camp (Private) Limited (“we”, “us”, or “the company”). Please read carefully before completing your booking.
1. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1.1. The minimum age for participation in any surf packages, surf lessons, or to book a room at Lucky’s Surf Camp is 16 years.
1.2. If you are booking on behalf of others, you accept these Terms & Conditions for your group and are responsible for all contractual obligations related to the booking.
2. RESERVATION, PAYMENT and deposit
2.1. A booking is only confirmed once the required deposit is received. This applies to all services: surf packages, individual surf lessons, and room bookings made via www.luckyssurfcamp.com.
2.2. Deposit requirements:
- 30% deposit for bookings made 21 days or more before the service or arrival date.
- Full payment is required for bookings made within 20 days of service or arrival date.
2.3. All deposits are non-refundable, without exception.
2.4. All payment fees, commissions, and currency conversion charges are the responsibility of the guest.
2.5. The remaining balance is due on arrival, payable at the front desk in cash (LKR, EUR, USD) or card (3% bank fee applies).
2.6. We reserve the right to cancel your booking and release your spot if the deposit is not received on time, or if the balance isn’t paid upon arrival. Deposits are not transferable and cannot be used as credit.
3. SURF LESSONS BOOKING TERMS
3.1. By booking a surf lesson with Lucky’s Surf Camp, you acknowledge that your lesson time is exclusive and limited, and agree to the following terms. If a booking is made on behalf of multiple guests (a group booking), the person completing the booking confirms that they have the authority to accept these Terms & Conditions for all participants listed on the booking. It is the responsibility of the booking holder to ensure that all members of the group are informed of, and agree to, these Terms & Conditions, including the policies on cancellations, missed lessons, non-refundable services, and lesson availability.
3.2. Each session indicates a required surf level. It is the guest’s responsibility to book the correct level. Bookings for incorrect levels will not be rescheduled or refunded.
3.3. When booking for 2+ people, it is sole responsibility of the booking person to reflect correct surfing level of each guest.
3.4. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your lesson when booking 15 days in advance, and the balance is due before the lesson. A 100% non-refundable deposit is required when booking a surf lesson within 14 days.
3.5. Missed lessons for any reason — including illness, injury, personal plans, late arrival, early departure, or no-shows are not refundable, cannot be credited, exchanged, rescheduled or transferred to another person.
3.6. Surf lesson availability is limited. Booking is on a first-come, first-served basis and specific time slots are not guaranteed.
3.7. In the rare case that conditions are unsafe, our team will contact you as early as possible to offer an alternative time. If rescheduling isn’t possible, your deposit will be fully refunded.
3.8. Guests are responsible for attending lessons on time. If a guest arrives late, the lesson will continue without them. Late arrivals will result in a shortened session or cancellation without refund.
4. ROOM BOOKING POLICIES
4.1. Check-in: 14:00–22:00 | Check-out: 10:30–11:00
4.2. Guests must present a valid photo ID and credit card upon check-in.
4.3. Children are not allowed. No extra beds or cots are provided.
4.4. All private rooms are fitted with king-size beds only.
4.5. The minimum age for check-in is 16.
4.6. Pets are not allowed.
4.7. Smoking is not permitted in any room. A EUR 500 fine applies.
4.8. All special requests (e.g., late check-in) are subject to availability and may incur extra charges.
4.9. Cancellations are possible up to 30 days before arrival, however deposits remain non-refundable.
5. BOOKING MODIFICATIONS
5.1. One free date change is allowed up to 30 days before arrival, subject to availability.
5.2. Change fees:
- EUR 50 per person for changes made 15–29 days before arrival.
- EUR 150 per person for changes made 1–14 days before arrival.
5.3. No changes allowed for no-shows.
6. CANCELLATIONS & REFUND POLICY
6.1. Cancellations 31+ days before arrival will receive a refund minus deposit and bank fees.
6.2. No refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of arrival or for no-shows.
6.3. Refunds will not be issued for missed flights, illness, rain, or other issues beyond our control.
6.4. Missed activities cannot be rescheduled, refunded or transferred to another person. This includes missed lessons due to late check-in, early check-out, day trips, hangovers, injury or illness or other circumstances beyond our control.
7. YOGA & OTHER ACTIVITIES
7.1. Complimentary sunset yoga is included in all stays and provided 6 days a week.
7.2. In case of rain or teacher illness, yoga sessions may be canceled without refund or compensation.
7.3. Yoga is held on our open-air rooftop and cannot be moved or rescheduled.
8. HEALTH & PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
8.1. By booking, guests confirm they are in stable physical and mental health and can participate in group activities.
8.2. Any relevant medical, psychological, or physical condition must be disclosed prior to arrival.
8.3. Lucky’s Surf Camp is not a therapeutic or medical facility. We reserve the right to refuse service or ask a guest to leave without refund if their behavior or condition disrupts the experience of others or places undue stress on staff.
9. Airport TRANSFERS
9.1. Airport transfers must be requested at least 48 hours in advance and are confirmed via WhatsApp and/or email.
9.2. Transfers are not included unless booked as extra with your package. We will send you a link to complete the payment ahead of arrival. Otherwise, payment can be made upon arrival at the front desk.
10. LIABILITY & INSURANCE
10.1. Guests are advised to have comprehensive travel insurance, covering medical, luggage, and cancellations.
10.2. Guests are liable for any damage to surfboards, rooms, or property. Costs will be assessed by our team.
10.3. Surfboard Insurance can be purchased to cover accidental damage to rental equipment.
10.4. We are not responsible for loss or theft. Rooms are equipped with private lockers or safes.
10.5. Smoking in rooms results in a EUR 500 fine.
11. PHOTO & VIDEO USE
11.1. Photos and videos may be taken by staff or collaborating photographers for marketing purposes.
11.2. By booking with us, you grant permission for such content to be used across Lucky’s Surf Camp’s channels and affiliated creatives.
11.3. If you do not wish to appear in any content, please inform us upon arrival and we will do our best to respect your request.
